A letter from Vicky to Mr. Donnelly
Hi Mr. Donnelly,
I am writing this letter to you because I have been thinking about that day when Miss Olafson went to talk to my principal. That day I was really in trouble. I faintly remember what the saleswoman told in that day, but I can not forget about the talk we had after Miss Olafson left. I clearly remember listening to your advice saying, “I just think you should consider putting your energy to some use than stealing makeup.” In addition, you said you liked me and that I was smart. I had never heard such words like that before. I felt that what you said made a big change in my life. In that moment I started feeling a tiny sensation inside me. I did not know what it was but after that moment but I will tell you what happened. After that, I Left the school building, and my head was weird. I forgot my books and my coat. I felt an empty sensation in me. Without direction, I walked some blocks. I had to stop to do two things I never had done before. I stopped for a coffee, I stared at myself in a mirror, and then I bought a magazine. In that moment that I paid for that, I really felt something good; it was something rare for me. I felt that a change was happening and that I wanted to feel that new sensation longer. Suddenly, I had to fight against the old sensation. I resisted to it. A kind of exhilaration grew inside me again and then I thought it was time to walk to my home. Finally, I want to thank you for your words that I will keep forever because they changed me and gave me new good sensation.
Sincerely,
Vicky
